11/02/2005: "The Rat is Out of the Bag"
It's odd, perhaps, that I haven't posted an update here since I returned from Indianapolis. Let's just say that I've been very, very busy. Prior to yesterday, I could only offer vague hints of what I was working on. As it turns out, Black Industries has posted a news item revealing many of next year's releases for the Warhammer Fantasy Role-Playing Game.
Two products on this release schedule will bear my name: Children of the Horned Rat, a supplement detailing the Skaven, and Terror in Talabheim, an adventure/city sourcebook. Both books are due out in the summer of 2006.
I've also been writing for Fantasy Flight Games, contributing to the forthcoming Star and Shadow and Hammer and Shadow supplements (due out in November and December, respectively).
So, you can see: busy, busy.
We should be seeing a couple of other releases fairly soon. Specifically, the Future Players' Companion, Volume III from The Game Mechanics, as well as Template Troves III from Silverthorne Games. I'll be sure to post an announcement when they hit the virtual shelves.
Speaking of the Future Player's Companion, the first two volumes are doing very well over at RPG Now. There are a lot of very kind reviews posted on their individual product pages.
What does the future hold? Well, I'm not sure. I may take November off from writing (but then again, I probably won't). Gen Con SoCal is in a couple of weeks, and I'll be running a couple of Thieves' World games for Green Ronin. I post a lot more of my life's minor details on my web log, Neuro-Suction, for those of you who are interested.
Off to work. The day job, that is. See you all back here in less than two months! I promise!
Bests,
