09/10/2004: "Most of the news that's somewhat fit to print..."

Just a quick update before I stumble off to work.

Sean K. Reynolds has posted a preview of Hungry Little Monsters that features one of the critters that I contributed to the effort. Head on over to Sean's Site and download a copy.

Also, it seems that the Comments feature is working now. At least, I think so.

It's Friday night. I've been three weeks in my new position at work, just long enough to become comfortable with the ropes and see a paycheck. I'm also four weeks knowing I'm soon going to be a father. Or am I a father already, even though the child hasn't been born yet? Either way, it lends a certain light to life that I've never seen before. I notice children more now than I ever have.

Anyway...this is a page about my writing, not about fatherhood. Digression, insofar as news is concerned, isn't so much a bad thing, but I don't need to torture you folks with it. Want to hear more? Drop me a line.

So, in the news. The big one is that I'm currently on the team that is writing Green Ronin Publishing's version of Thieves' World. It's a very exciting project, and I am very happy to be a part of it. The folks involved are all gifted, and the project outline I've seen is definitely going to be a lot of fun to work on.

On The Game Mechanics' front, Artifacts of the Ages: Legendary Weapons has its own product page. Check it out, along with some of the preliminary artwork. The PDF should see release within two weeks.

Lastly, there has been a preview posted for the Fireborn Game Master's Handbook on Fantasy Flight's web site. You can download it here.

I plan to have some of the pictures I took at GenCon Indy posted soon. Knock on wood, anyway.

I'll be marching around Escondido in a local parade tomorrow morning. I'm not too keen on parades, but this particular event marks my third year as a Civil War reenactor (dubious though that honor may be!). I'll try not to die of heat stroke.

All for now...
